The chairman of the Chamber of Asharqia Chamber Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al Atishan welcomed the head of Commerce and Industry of the British Chamber
of Commerce and Industry,
Baroness Elizabeth Simmons.
In
the meeting on Monday, April 3, 2017, the two sides reviewed the ways
of enhancing mutual cooperation in the economic sector through
organizing exhibitions and trade delegations in order to establish
partnerships that benefit the two countries. They also discussed the
facilitation offered by the Kingdom to foreign investors and their effect to the sector investments according to the vision of the Kingdom 2030.
The
meeting focused on the possibility of cooperation in various fields of
specialization, including railways, agriculture, logistics, education
and training, medical care, and the importance of a British terminal and shipping terminal in the region to serve British and Saudi nationals in the Middle East.
The
meeting also discussed the issue of charitable endowments and their
importance to public utilities and their strong impact on educational
institutions
